AP Fibernet Employment Hub Or Mismanagement Center

YSRCP Leaders and Job Appointments: A Detailed Breakdown

Recruitments within the YSRCP government are controversial. According to data until now, large numbers of appointments are also reflected as job recommendations of these big leaders:

  • YS Jaganmohan Reddy: 5 recommendations
  • YS Bharathi Reddy: 5 recommendations
  • YS Avinash Reddy: 115 recommendations
  • Vijayasai Reddy: 15 recommendations
  • P. Midhun Reddy: 25 recommendations
  • Madhusudhan Reddy (former Fibernet MD): 75 recommendations
  • Other MPs and MLAs: An average of 2-3 recommendations each

These resulted in appointments to posts not based on the qualifications of the appointees or any organizational requirements. Investigations currently in progress are likely to reveal further information regarding the number of appointments.

A Political Employment Center

The Jagan-led government allegedly converted AP Fibernet into an employment hub for party workers. Appointments are reportedly done casually over the phone, WhatsApp messages, or through intermediary orders from party leaders. Many have been added to the payroll without proper recruitment procedures or documented qualifications.

Officials are now investigating:

  • How many of the present employees have valid appointment documents?
  • Were their services genuinely required by the organization?
  • On whose recommendation were they hired?

Case Highlights

  • Singam Harshavardhan Reddy: Hired through outsourcing after carrying the party flag during Jagan's padayatra. He has been getting a monthly salary of ₹75,000 for three years.
  • Relatives of Influential Persons: Two younger sisters of a government employee close to Vijayasai Reddy have been hired in the organization for three years.

Permanent vs. Outsourced Staff

Till date 2019, the permanent employees of AP Fibernet were only three persons along with the Managing Director. After the rise of the YSRCP, the outsourced and contract-based staff count swelled up to 1,360 persons. The monthly salary bill now stands at over ₹4 crore.
