Former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa is in legal trouble after allegations of provident fund (PF) payment fraud were made against him. As the director of Centaurus Lifestyle Brand Private Limited, Uthappa has been accused of withholding PF contributions deducted from his employees without depositing them into their accounts. Based in Bangalore, Centaurus Lifestyle Brand Private Limited failed to deposit a total amount of ₹23 lakhs into the provident fund accounts of its employees. Thereafter, PF Regional Commissioner formally issued notices to Uthappa seeking compliance. According to media sources, the PF Regional Commissioner directed the local police to undertake appropriate action against Uthappa. The arrest warrant stated that he should pay his pending dues by December 27 to avoid legal action.
