The popular reality show Bigg Boss has been able to win the hearts of people all over India, with star actors hosting the show in various regional languages. Kiccha Sudeep has been hosting Bigg Boss Kannada for 11 successful seasons in Karnataka, but the actor recently stated that he will not host the show further after the ongoing season. He explained his reasons in a recent statement, putting an end to speculation about his decision.
In an open conversation, Sudeep spoke about his journey as the host of Bigg Boss Kannada. He said that he was exhausted and felt underappreciated, which led him to this decision.
"When I made the announcement, I was very tired and felt the time was right to step away. My hard work didn’t seem to get the recognition it deserved, especially when comparing Bigg Boss Kannada to its versions in other languages," he said.
Sudeep also spoke about his disappointment about the difference in respect shown towards Bigg Boss Kannada and other shows of its franchise. He feels that his show deserved a better respect and more screen presence. He stated that it would be a better option for him to spend his energy in films.
Even though he decided to opt out, Sudeep still hosts Season 11. But he made it clear that he will not return to host further seasons of the show.
Besides being a TV host, Sudeep is also very popular for his work in films. He gained massive appreciation from the Telugu audience with his performance in Eega. Now, after his 2022 release Vikrant Rona, Sudeep is preparing for the release of his latest film, Max.
Directed by Vijay Karthikeya, Max is an action thriller which is to be released on December 25 as a Christmas gift to fans. The trailer and posters of the film have already made the rounds, creating immense hype about the movie, so expectations are running high at the box office.
During the promotional events for Max, Sudeep talked about why he quit Bigg Boss Kannada and repeated that he would avoid commitments as a host if the movies were more important.
