CM Chandrababu Ministers Performance Is Being Strictly Monitored

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, in a recent cabinet meeting, highlighted his vigilant approach to monitoring ministerial performance. He said that he regularly evaluates the working of his ministers by closely monitoring their performance. He asked the ministers to go beyond their routine office work and take direct field-level activities, including extensive traveling in their respective districts.

“I evaluate your performance weekly for two to three hours using RTGS. This includes tracking how quickly files are processed, the frequency of reviews conducted, DRC meetings held, and district visits,” he stated. He asked ministers to ensure smooth file clearance at all levels and embrace technology to facilitate processes. The CM expressed frustration over delays in some departments and emphasized the need to clear them promptly.

Accountability Through Reports and Immediate Responses

When a request was made to furnish the performance report for six months, only three ministers, that is, Ramanaidu, Sandhyarani, and Kondapalli Srinivas replied. The Chief Minister urged all the ministers to take initiative for taking up the political and administrative issues at the district levels. He also stressed implementing the decisions taken in DRC meeting and maintaining coordination among district-level officials and MLAs.

To increase transparency, Chandrababu launched an IVRS survey on ministerial performance. He questioned the inefficiency of communicating about welfare and development schemes at the departmental level on social media. Some of the ministers pointed out inadequate training of the social media team, which the CM concurred with but asked them to exercise caution in handling sensitive matters that would not lead to misunderstanding.

Maximizing Central Government Support

Chandrababu urged the government to release the central funds for state schemes. He entrusted the departmental responsibilities to the MPs for simplifying the coordination between the state ministers and the central authorities. He pointed out that out of 93 schemes that became ineffective during the previous government, 70 were brought back into action.

Legislative Assembly Developments

The Chief Minister unveiled plans to complete capital works in three years. A ministerial committee, led by the Speaker, will coordinate and make recommendations on the internal designs of the Legislative Assembly building to ensure that there is timely progress and quality.

Revenue Conferences and Farmer Support

During the meeting, certain ministers mentioned that continuous revenue conferences were not yielding favorable results because farmers were being busy with other things. Chandrababu agreed to give another deadline and asked the Revenue Minister Satya Prasad to ensure better use of technology by him to yield tangible results. He decided to convene a review meeting of the Revenue Minister along with special chief secretary Sisodia to tackle the hurdles.

Recognizing Ambedkar’s Legacy

In the concluding discussions, the Chief Minister criticized the Congress party for not paying homage to the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He pointed out that recognition to Ambedkar came under the VP Singh regime and not during the Congress rule. Chandrababu appealed for understanding of historical developments to appreciate the contributions of Ambedkar.
