Minister Atchannaidu expressed strong disapproval of an alleged plot to assassinate a TDP leader in Palasa. Speaking with the district Collector and Superintendent of Police (SP), he reviewed the situation closely. The Minister accused YSRCP leaders of perpetuating violent political practices over the past five years and continuing them even after losing power. He emphasized that such actions would not be tolerated in Srikakulam district and vowed strict legal action against those involved in the conspiracy.
The police, acting on credible intelligence, uncovered a plot to murder a TDP leader from Palasa town. Acting swiftly, they apprehended the suspects before the crime could be carried out. Reports indicate that three gang members, allegedly hired from Bihar for a supari of ₹10 lakhs, were arrested near Tekkali on Sunday. During the operation, firearms and other weapons were seized. Authorities are now interrogating the suspects, who have reportedly disclosed the identities of those who financed the planned attack.
