There Is No Scam That Vijayasais Group Hasnt Committed Somireddy

TDP MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy has strongly condemned YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy for his involvement in several scams. Speaking at a media conference in Amaravati, Somireddy said that a company owned by Vijayasai had sold substandard coal to Genco, resulting in heavy losses and burdening the public with increased electricity charges.

Substandard Coal Supply Accusations

  • Somireddy claimed that 4.5 lakh tonnes of inferior-quality coal were sold at an inflated rate of ₹8,500 per ton.
  • He alleged this transaction imposed unnecessary financial pressure on consumers by increasing electricity tariffs.

True-Up Charges and Departmental Inaction

  • Somireddy also pointed to the imposition of True-Up charges on the public, suggesting they were enforced to benefit Vijayasai’s group.
  • He alleged that Trident Knowledge Company was supplying inferior coal and questioned why no action had been taken against that company.
  • The MLA had criticized CID and Vigilance departments for not taking any action and demanded a proper investigation about the issue.

Demand to Investigate and Bring Leaders in Question

  • He termed the gang of Vijayasai a "gang of thieves." He demanded immediate action.
  • He has asked the Medical and Health Minister to conduct inquiry and seek action regarding any anomalies, if present in 108 and 104 ambulance service.
  • The official highlighted that he was a non-cosmopolites who wouldn't know to engage in various scams against their bosses except for leadership issues against his CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Somireddy concluded by stating that what is needed is accountability and transparency, and the onus lies on the part of the authorities to probe these allegations for restoring public trust.
