Hasaranga Withdraws from IPL Season

- Wanindu Hasaranga will not play in the IPL 2026 season. The Lucknow franchise confirmed this update. The team had signed him for Rs 2 crore in the recent mini-auction.
- Hasaranga suffered the injury during the last World Cup. The Sri Lanka Cricket board has not issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for his participation. His fitness tests were completed earlier this week, but he remains unavailable.
Lucknow to Announce Replacement Soon
Tom Moody, the Director of the Lucknow franchise, announced that the team will reveal their replacement player shortly.
