Andhra Pradesh Government Focus On Fuel Supply And Crop Damage Assessment

CM Chandrababu Reviews LPG and Fuel Supply

N. Chandrababu Naidu instructed officials to prevent any shortage of LPG in the state. He required that officials need to initiate response activities because he predicted that global conditions would create future challenges to the supply system.

The officials received guidance from him to advance development work on these energy solutions:

  • Induction stoves
  • Piped Natural Gas (PNG)
  • Electric vehicles (EVs)
  • Other practical energy solutions

The authorities received his instruction to supply LPG to educational institutions and temples as their most important task.

The Chief Minister examined the current situation of LPG supply and ordered officials to monitor the situation continuously. He required Central Government collaboration to ensure continuous distribution of:

  • Petrol
  • Diesel
  • Fertilizers

Review of Crop Damage Due to Unseasonal Rains

The Chief Minister held a meeting with District Collectors to evaluate the agricultural damage which resulted from unseasonal rain. He requested officials to submit complete damage assessment report which needed to show all impact areas.

Officials reported that the following crops were affected across 12 districts:

  • Maize
  • Paddy
  • Black gram

The estimated financial damage reached approximately ₹40 crore.

Nine districts experienced damage to horticulture crops which included these plants:

  • Banana
  • Papaya
  • Chili
  • Mango
  • Sweet lime
  • Lemon

Officials estimated the losses for these crops at approximately ₹22.68 crore.
