Government Vision for Technology Expansion
- Chief Minister Chandrababu announced that the state will educate 4.5 million people in artificial intelligence and quantum computing and advanced data security. The purpose of this program is to establish technical expertise throughout the entire population. The government aims to shift from using technology toward developing new technological solutions.
- He also stated that every person should have the ability to use artificial intelligence technologies. The plan supports wider adoption and practical use of modern technologies.
Launch of Quantum Testbeds
- The Chief Minister opened Quantum Testbeds at SRM University in Amaravati. The facilities operate from both SRM University and Medha Towers which are located in Gannavaram. He dedicated the 1S and 1Q Quantum Testbeds to the nation.
- The testbeds will enable quantum technology research testing and development activities.
Upcoming Quantum Valley and Startup Plans
- The government will launch “Quantum Valley” in Amaravati starting this December. The project aims to establish a comprehensive ecosystem dedicated to quantum research and development activities.
- Chandrababu introduced the “One Family, One Entrepreneur” initiative. The plan targets one startup for every 1,000 people. The Research and Innovation Hub (RTiH) will provide assistance to startups through various innovation programs.
Training and Industry Collaboration
The state is collaborating with IIT Chennai and IBM to establish a training program which will teach quantum computing skills to a large number of individuals. The partnerships between these organizations aim to develop skilled workers while enhancing growth within the business sector.
The government concentrates its efforts on three main objectives:
- Skilled workforce
- New enterprises
- Strong quantum infrastructure
Expected Impact Across Sectors
Officials expect progressive developments to occur in multiple sectors:
- Pharmaceutical research
- Agriculture productivity
- Defense technology
- Logistics systems
Quantum technology may also improve digital transaction security. Other possible areas include climate modeling, cryogenics, fabrication, and advanced research.
Industry Perspective on Amaravati
- L. Venkata Subrahmanyam, CEO of CubitForce, shared his views on Amaravati. He said the company received approvals through a single-window clearance system. This process helped speed up operations.
- He stated that the company aims to build India’s first quantum computer. He also noted that the team completed “Quantum Beds” within four months. He linked this progress to strong support and clear direction from the state leadership.
- He described Amaravati as a place with strong potential for innovation and rapid development.
