The Rajya Sabha received the bill which establishes Amaravati as the official capital of Andhra Pradesh. The announcement came from Rajya Sabha Chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan.
The Chairman stated that the discussion on the bill will begin at 1:00 PM. The members will spend two hours in the House to discuss the bill according to his confirmation.
The Lok Sabha approved this bill on Wednesday. The bill advanced to the Rajya Sabha for additional examination after this action.
