Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu closely monitored the impact of Cyclone Montha. He tracked the extent of risk, oversaw relief operations, and kept posted ministers, public representatives, and officials on a regular basis. He was present in the RTG Center of the Secretariat from Tuesday morning until 11:30 p.m. without any break, tracking all the operations.
When the cyclone warning was originally declared, Chandrababu Naidu was abroad in the UAE. He was away from India but still held two teleconferences on this 23rd and ordered officials to keep their guards up and be prepared for any type of emergency. He later evaluated the situation by conducting teleconferences from Hyderabad on the 25th and 26th and ensured all departments were properly prepared to handle it.
Chief Minister has been conducting a series of cyclone security and disaster management meetings since Monday morning. He conducted almost 15 teleconferences, video conferences, and review meetings from Monday to Tuesday midnight to review progress and preparedness.
Minister Lokesh spent the night in the Secretariat to keep close tabs on the situation with the cyclones. His night stay there ensured departmental communications didn't lapse at all and action was taken on developments immediately.
