Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated that he was proud of the Telugu people's achievements globally. He asserted that Telugu people occupy top positions wherever they are, including the UAE and Dubai. He asked them never to leave their place of origin and their heritage behind. Naidu stated that Telugu people have attained the status of global leaders and stressed the need to repay their homeland by making contributions and developing it.
He reminded himself of his previous contention that each household should have a professional in IT. Commenting on Microsoft's setup in Hyderabad, he pointed out that Satya Nadella, who began working there as an employee, is currently the CEO of the company.
Naidu took part in an event of the Telugu diaspora in Dubai. Thousands of individuals from ten nations, such as Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, attended the event. He expressed appreciation to the Telugu community in the Gulf for their contribution to the 2024 elections.
He added, "You toiled for the alliance's win with your own money. I shall never forget it." Naidu said his government, under him, had previously brought Microsoft to Hyderabad but now bringing Google to Visakhapatnam. He drew a comparison between Silicon Valley in America and the new "Quantum Valley" emerging in Amaravati.
After the event, he took photos with attendees. His UAE tour concluded with this meeting, which was also attended by Ministers TG Bharat and BC Janardhan Reddy.
Naidu praised Dubai’s rapid transformation over the last 15 years, describing it as a shift from desert to a developed city. He noted that Abu Dhabi and Dubai are successfully moving from an oil-based economy to a knowledge-based economy. With over 1.5 lakh hotel rooms and massive shopping malls, Dubai has become a global hub.
Naidu asked, "If a rainless region can improve like this, what level should Andhra Pradesh achieve with all its natural wealth?"
Naidu emphasized that making entrepreneurs in every home is a central objective. He further stated, "Nothing is impossible. When I talked of cellphones years back, people laughed. Today, nobody can do without one." He also pointed out that 750 government services are made accessible through WhatsApp Governance, with the aim of minimizing the need to visit offices physically.
Google is going to invest $15 billion to set up an AI data center in Visakhapatnam. Artificial intelligence will revolutionize all industries in five years, Naidu stated. Andhra Pradesh is also going to create a Space City just outside Tirupati to encourage private investment in space exploration.
He added that Singapore and Dubai are going to implement air taxis shortly, and Andhra Pradesh wants to become a supplier for them.
Naidu urged the diaspora to venture into entrepreneurship, saying technology currently enables companies to be located anywhere in the globe. "If husband and wife are both employed, one must think of starting an industry," he said. He guaranteed assistance towards their economic growth, where they are stationed.
Naidu welcomed the building of the Swami Narayan Mandir in Abu Dhabi. The temple is a good example of how cultural traditions can be maintained and respected, even abroad, he said. He highlighted cooperation in continuing cultural and religious practices all over the world.
During his visit, Naidu interacted with Abdullah bin Tawq Al Marri, UAE's Minister of Economic Affairs and Tourism. Both parties concurred to improve trade relations as well as boost innovation.
A Dubai Silicon Oasis-Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) partnership to encourage startups and AI-driven projects was announced. The CM reported that the UAE expressed interest in partnering with Andhra Pradesh on food security, logistics, and infrastructure development. The agreements will center on the development of a knowledge economy through funding startups and research institutions.
Naidu further added that both regions talked about employing the use of artificial intelligence to enhance governance and deliver better public services via technology and RTGS systems.
DA Dex Group and Carbonatic Group have shown interest in investing ₹31,165 crore in Andhra Pradesh, announced Minister BC Janardhan Reddy. Their proposals include creating inland waterways, establishing aircraft repair hubs at Kurnool Airport, and constructing ports, resorts, and warehouses along the coastline.
Representatives of the companies met with CM Naidu in Dubai and laid out their investment proposals.
Naidu launched an insurance scheme for non-resident Andhras between the ages of 18–60. The policy covers up to ₹10 lakh for low premium. Legal counseling, documentation assistance, and advocate facilities will be provided by the NRT Society for expatriates.
He also declared financial assistance for maternity-related costs: ₹35,000 for normal delivery and ₹50,000 for cesarean delivery.
