The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu declared that Google established its presence in Andhra Pradesh which serves as an essential milestone for the state's development. The project will affect both Visakhapatnam and the entire state according to his explanation.
He delivered his address during the Google AI Data Center groundbreaking ceremony which took place at Tharluvada in Visakhapuram. He showed appreciation to the Central Government and Google for their support and collaborative relationship.
Project Scope and Expected Impact
The Chief Minister announced that the AI Data Center will enable technology industry growth through its new development opportunities. He stated that the benefits would extend throughout the entire nation.
He predicted that Tharluvada would transform into a technology center during the upcoming years. He stated that Andhra Pradesh maintains its dedication to developing new technologies through innovative solutions.
The data center will have a capacity of one gigawatt. He reported that the state plans to transform into a primary data entry hub which will serve all of India.
Industry Collaboration and Investment
Chandrababu stated that large businesses currently express their interest in Visakhapatnam. He identified Google, Adani Group, and Airtel as essential organizations that drive current market expansions.
He described how Google created technology which functions together with the state's fast-moving business operations. He described how this combination will create future expansion possibilities.
Project Timeline and Infrastructure Plans
The construction of the Google AI Data Center is expected to finish by September 2028. The state government plans to provide full support to complete the project earlier if possible.
The Chief Minister also shared updates on other projects. He said that Bhogapuram Airport will be dedicated to the nation in July.
He added that Anakapalli district may develop into a major economic area. He said that business costs in the region will remain lower than in other cities.
Railway Zone and Development Approach
He referred to a statement by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw that the South Coast Railway Zone will begin operations on June 1.
Chandrababu said that the government is focusing on both agreements and execution. He stated that the state aims to ensure that projects move from planning to completion.
