HPV Vaccination Program Begins In Telugu States
  • The government of India has started to implement an HPV vaccination program throughout the country. The central government launched this initiative to prevent cervical cancer. The vaccine targets girls aged 14 to 15 years.

Program Launch in Telangana

Telangana state has commenced its vaccination program. Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha attended the launch event at King Kothi District Hospital in Hyderabad. Health officials started administering the vaccine to eligible girls at the venue.

Program Launch in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh state has commenced its vaccination program. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu participated in the launch event at the Cheepurapalli Community Health Center in Vizianagaram district. He formally inaugurated the vaccination drive in the state.

Target Coverage Across India

The Union Health Ministry announced that the program will cover 1.15 crore girls nationwide. The government aims to improve public health outcomes through early vaccination and awareness.
