The Parliament has introduced two bills which establish a 33 percent women reservation for both Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assembly seats. This measure received support from Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. He stated that the proposal promotes greater participation of women in legislative institutions.
Pawan Kalyan confirmed that Janasena Party maintains its support for women reservation rights. He explained that the party established its position on this matter during the 2019 elections. He stated that the party established its commitment toward this matter at an earlier time which still exists today.
Pawan Kalyan declared that women need to participate in governance because it brings about development. He connected strong women with strong family units. He explained that strong family units serve as the foundation for national strength. He stated that women become empowered when they take part in public activities which include political work.
He stated that national development requires equal opportunities for women to succeed. His perspective holds that legislative body representation serves as one aspect of general social empowerment. He stated that the country achieves genuine advancement when women obtain positions that enable them to make decisions.
He mentioned R. Vaishali during the same event. She made history by becoming the first Indian woman to qualify for the Women's World Chess Championship. Pawan Kalyan congratulated her for her performance in the FIDE Women’s Tournament. He described her achievement as a historic milestone for Indian women in chess.
