The government published its job calendar for the Ugadi holiday
- The Andhra Pradesh State Government established new employment positions to support jobless youth on Ugadi. The Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh introduced a Job Calendar through X social media platform.
- The calendar presents 10060 job openings for government positions. The system provides specific dates when recruitment announcements will be made, which helps candidates understand the process better. The government provided only the calendar before this. The government introduced complete schedule information to the public.
- The recruitment process will start with 41 job announcements. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) will handle most of the recruitment process. The recruitment process for teachers (DSC) and police officers will operate using different procedures.
The recruitment process will start with:
- 1,500 posts for Associate Professors and Assistant Professors
- Notification release date: May 15
APPSC will organize a screening test for Assistant Professor vacancies, which will follow the same process as the 2018 examination.

- School Education Department: 3,004 posts
- Home Department: 2,778 posts
Teacher Recruitment Under DSC
The District Selection Committee will announce a notification for 2535 teacher positions on October 15.
Minister Lokesh confirmed that DSC recruitment will now occur every year. The government has combined:
- Existing vacancies
- Future vacancies due to retirements
These are planned over a four-year period.
The DSC recruitment program will select teachers for multiple positions:
- Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs)
- School Assistants
- Special Teachers
- Music, Art, Craft, and Dance teachers
Government Fulfills Padayatra Promise
Nara Lokesh stated that releasing the Job Calendar fulfills a promise made during the Yuvagalam Padayatra.
He described the initiative as a “Festival of Jobs” for the youth. Key highlights from his statement:

- Exam syllabus will be shared in advance
- The government plans to release a Job Calendar every Ugadi
He advised candidates to begin preparation for competitive exams and extended Ugadi wishes to job aspirants.
‘Naipunyam’ Portal for Job Updates
The government introduced the Naipunyam Portal to support job seekers.
