Nara Lokesh who serves as the Education and IT Minister treated the decision by Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to take legal action against the Google AI Hub proposal for Visakhapatnam as a wrong step.
The state opposition to development projects shows itself through this action according to Lokesh. The proposed Google investment in Visakhapatnam which he mentioned constitutes one of the biggest foreign direct investment projects in India.
Concerns About Impact on Youth and State Development
Lokesh asked why people choose to block projects which will provide young people with new chances. Investments in this project will provide the state with future progress while creating work opportunities for its young people.
The AI Hub legal action according to him will cause development projects to experience delays while diminishing technology investment benefits.
Statement on Political Platform
Lokesh shared his response through a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He announced through his message that state development work would progress despite political difficulties.
He stated that development projects will continue their work even when political parties initiate objections or pursue legal actions.
Reference to Earlier Disputes
Development projects faced opposition from certain groups according to Lokesh who mentioned previous disputes. He said some groups had previously opposed the development of Amaravati.
He mentioned the power purchase agreements which the government canceled during the time period when Telugu Desam Party held power between 2014 and 2019.
Lokesh said that lawsuits had been launched against information technology development centers which work to create job opportunities.
