Review Meeting and Initial Findings
N. Chandrababu Naidu held a review meeting to investigate the bus accident which occurred near Rayavaram in Markapuram district. The meeting included attendance from ministers Anita and Janardhan Reddy together with high-ranking officials.
The District Collector and the Superintendent of Police shared initial details. Officials reported that the bus accident occurred when 35 passengers were on board the vehicle:
- 13 passengers died
- 22 passengers suffered injuries
- 3 injured persons remain in critical condition
The bus belonged to Harikrishna Travels. The bus was traveling to Jagtial which is located in Telangana. The driver reported to police that the steering system experienced a complete failure.
Government Response and Instructions
CM Chandrababu instructed officials to start their work without any delay:
- The medical facilities must deliver top-level treatment for all patients who sustained injuries
- The authorities must provide financial support to both victims and their family members
- The medical team needs to track the status of all patients who are experiencing severe health issues
He stressed the need for proper coordination among departments to manage the situation effectively.
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Responds
- A. Revanth Reddy expressed shock over the incident. He offered condolences to the families of those who died. He also wished a quick recovery for the injured.
- He instructed Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao to coordinate with Andhra Pradesh officials. He required officials to gather complete passenger information because the bus originated from Jagtial.
- The Telangana Chief Secretary followed these orders by reaching out to his Andhra Pradesh counterpart for a meeting about the incident.
