Minister Gottipati Ravikumar informed that the recent cyclone inflicted heavy damage throughout Andhra Pradesh. He traveled to Parchur in Bapatla district along with MLA Eluri Sambasiva Rao to inspect the conditions. The team visited overflowing streams in Annambotlavaripalem and Parchur areas. They even inspected tobacco bales piled in local homes that were damaged in the cyclone.
The minister informed that crops were severely damaged because of overflowing streams running from Machilipatnam to Prakasam district. He assured that the government will buy soaked tobacco from farmers. He assured that each affected farmer would be provided support and help from the government.
Minister Ravikumar also said that electricity poles were removed in most areas. He further stated that work of restoration was done in 24 hours. He further declared that agricultural electricity connections would be restored by the night.
