Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu over Cyclone Montha. The Prime Minister reviewed the effect of the cyclone and asked about state government measures. CM Chandrababu informed him about precautionary steps and preparedness in cyclone-affected regions.
Following the discussion, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu conducted a review meeting at the RTGS Center. The meeting was attended by Ministers Nara Lokesh, Anita, Chief Secretary Vijayanand, and other high-ranking officials. In the course of the meeting, Minister Lokesh was directed by the Chief Minister to maintain coordination with the Prime Minister's Office for effective disaster management.
Chandrababu Naidu concentrated on tracking the movement of the cyclone without pause. Officials were asked to stay alert and keep track of weather situations hour after hour. The embankments of canals were asked to be strengthened, crops in the field to be sheltered, and care to be exercised in low-lying and inundation areas. Interdepartmental cooperation was stressed to avoid loss of life and property.
