Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a letter with the citizens on the occasion of Diwali. In his message, he said that Shri Ram is the main inspiration behind Operation Sindoor. He explained that the operation not only protected Indian dharma but also avenged the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
The Prime Minister mentioned that it is the second Diwali since the Ram Temple was constructed in Ayodhya. The Prime Minister said that Shri Ram had taught people how to defend dharma and provided them with the courage to battle injustice. He further mentioned that Operation Sindoor, which was initiated a few months ago, is reflective of this spirit. Modi said that the operation defended Indian values and reacted firmly to the Pahalgam terror attack.
Modi also stated that the Diwali this year is of particular importance since numerous districts hitherto hit by Maoist extremism are celebrating openly. Modi added that a number of people have abandoned violence and joined the mainstream, demonstrating trust in India's Constitution. Modi referred to this as a great success for the country.
While delivering his address, the Prime Minister mentioned recent cuts in GST rates by the central government. He claimed that this action would directly benefit people. Modi urged citizens to promote domestic goods, honor every language, and keep things clean.
He also instructed citizens to cut down on food oil usage by 10 percent and exercise yoga on a regular basis. In his opinion, these measures will propel India in the direction of being a developed country.
