Samrat Choudhary Sworn In As Bihar Chief Minister

The Oath Ceremony took place at Lok Bhawan. Senior BJP leader Samrat Choudhary took oath as the 21st Chief Minister of Bihar. The Governor Syed Ata Hasnain administered the oath at Lok Bhawan. The event was attended by leaders from both the BJP and its alliance partners.

Leadership Change in Bihar

Samrat Choudhary became the first BJP leader to hold the Chief Minister post in Bihar. The position was vacated by JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar when he resigned. He had been elected to the Rajya Sabha. Samrat Choudhary received his top role at the BJP after his resignation from office. He had been serving as Deputy Chief Minister before this appointment.

Deputy Chief Ministers Appointed

Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Vijay Kumar Choudhary took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. The Chief Minister and both leaders entered the new government together with each other.

Message from Nitish Kumar

Former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar extended his wishes to Samrat Choudhary. He shared a message on the platform X. He stated that he would support the new government fully.
