Smooth Supply Of Petroleum Products And EV Promotion In Telangana

The government maintains a continuous supply of fuel

  • Revanth Reddy reported that the government established procedures which guarantee continuous petroleum product availability throughout the entire state. 
  • He provided information about the existing monitoring system. The State Chief Secretary leads a committee which operates from the Command Control Center in Hyderabad. The team conducts supply assessments for petrol diesel and gas through their regular evaluation procedures.
  • The Chief Minister participated in a virtual conference which Narendra Modi directed. All state Chief Ministers attended the meeting. The discussion analyzed supply problems which emerged during the West Asian conflict.

District-Level Monitoring and Supply Control

Revanth Reddy reported that every district operates with

  • A dedicated committee
  • Appointed nodal officers

The teams monitor these activities

  • Gas distribution
  • Petrol and diesel sales
  • Prevention of black marketing

The government gives priority to essential services. The first recipients of commercial gas cylinders include

  • Hospitals
  • Schools
  • Orphanages
  • Old-age homes

Officials track fuel stock and usage at every fuel station. This practice helps to prevent fuel shortages.

Fuel Consumption and Available Reserves

The Chief Minister shared fuel consumption statistics which showed

  • Daily consumption: 36,189 kiloliters
  • Current reserves: 188,210 kiloliters

The state possesses sufficient запас to satisfy demand according to these statistics. 

He also mentioned that government authorities are pursuing legal measures against people who distribute false information about fuel shortages through social media platforms. The authorities main goal remains to avoid creating public panic. 

Telangana Promotes Electric Vehicles

Revanth Reddy stated that Electric Vehicles (EVs) receive full support from the government. The government aims to achieve two objectives through this initiative which involves reducing fuel consumption while advancing clean energy solutions. 

The main measures include these points:

  • 100% exemption on road tax for EVs
  • 100% exemption on registration fees for EVs

The state also supports EV production and battery development.

EV Expansion Plans in Hyderabad

  • The government has started a major conversion plan in Hyderabad.
  • Around 1.20 lakh auto-rickshaws will shift from petrol/diesel to EVs
  • This step aims to reduce pollution and fuel use in the city.

Future of Public Transport

  • The state plans to adopt EV buses in public transport. The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (RTC) will use only electric buses in the future.
  • Senior officials, including State Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and Principal Secretary V. Seshadri, attended the meeting and supported these initiatives.
