Swarnandhra Population Management Initiative In Andhra Pradesh

Monthly Health Programs and Public Outreach

N. Chandrababu Naidu required officials to perform Swarnandhra Population Management operations at regular intervals which occur on the fourth Saturday of each month. The operations consist of:

  • Village assemblies (Grama Sabhas)
  • Health camps
  • Public awareness programs

He instructed MLAs MPs District Collectors and medical staff to connect directly with people starting in April. The goal is to enhance public health through combined efforts and community involvement.

Expansion of the Sanjeevani Project

The Chief Minister evaluated the Sanjeevani project Andhra Pradesh progress together with health department officials. The project operates at present in Chittoor district which includes Kuppam and Naravaripalli areas.

He ordered that the program needs to expand its operations throughout the entire state by July.

Key Targets and Actions

  • Conduct medical tests for 56.40 lakh people within one year
  • Deliver test results to patients via WhatsApp within 48 hours
  • Deploy 904 mobile medical units with an approved budget of ₹162 crore

The Sanjeevani Digital Nerve Center database already has 3.14 lakh registered users according to official reports.

The Chief Minister emphasized:

  • Regular updates of individual health records
  • Focus on preventive healthcare
  • Reduction of future medical expenses

He also advised promoting healthy practices such as:

  • Yoga
  • Balanced nutrition
  • Meditation
  • Pranayama

He requested a detailed report on health improvements in Chittoor district to evaluate the project’s effectiveness.

The government intends to create a health policy called the AP Health Management Policy which will target five key areas of the policy. The five pillars of the policy include:

Matrutva (Maternity care) Shakti (Empowerment) Naipunyam (Skill development) Kshema (Well-being) Sanjeevani (Health support systems)

The NTR Vaidya Seva Trust will serve as the foundation for a universal healthcare system that the state intends to establish. The six insurance companies that officials mentioned have shown interest in joining the program.

Healthcare Infrastructure Development

The Chief Minister assessed the progress of medical colleges which will be established through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. He instructed officials to:

  • The Medical and Health Department needs to maintain its staff at full capacity
  • The organization needs to establish a schedule for continuous staff recruitment
  • The pharmacy networks need to establish connections with diagnostic laboratories

He also stressed the importance of maternal healthcare:

  • The organization needs to promote normal deliveries for all pregnant women
  • The organization should conduct audits when the Caesarean section rates exceed 20 percent

The team worked together to develop ways to enhance service delivery while establishing stronger operational systems that would lead to improved health results throughout Andhra Pradesh.
