Telangana Assembly Budget Sessions Begin Today

Governor’s Address to Start the Session

The Telangana Legislative Assembly and the Telangana Legislative Council will start their Budget sessions on Monday.

Shiv Pratap Shukla will address both Houses at 11:45 AM. The session will pause after the Governor finishes his speech until the following day.

The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of both Houses will meet separately. The meetings will determine:

• The total duration of the sessions
• The agenda for discussions
• The schedule for legislative business

On March 17 and 18, members will discuss the Motion of Thanks on the Governor’s address.

Budget Presentation and Session Schedule

• The Houses will observe a holiday on March 19 for the Ugadi festival.
• The state budget will be presented when the sessions resume on March 20.
• Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who also serves as Finance Minister, will present the State Budget in the Assembly.
• Duddilla Sridhar Babu will present the budget in the Council.

The two Houses of Parliament will take their next intermission

• March 21 for Ramzan
• March 22 because it is Sunday

The Assembly and Council will start their thorough budget allocation talks on March 23 which will cover all government departments.

Bills and Key Issues Expected in the Session

Several important bills may be introduced during the session. The following items will be introduced:

• The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act will undergo amendments
• The Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad will transition into the Directorate of Secondary Health
• Welfare measures for gig workers

The Assembly will review the Musi River rejuvenation project.

The legislative sessions will last until the month concludes.

Telangana Thalli Statue Unveiling

The Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla will unveil the Telangana Thalli statue at 11:27 AM before the session starts at the Assembly grounds. The event will have several leaders present which includes the following:

• Revanth Reddy
• Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka
• Gaddam Prasad Kumar
• Gutha Sukhender Reddy

The assembly will include ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and high-ranking officials who will take part. The Congress Legislature Party Meeting will take place after the Assembly session ends on Monday morning. The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) will meet at the Assembly premises after the Assembly session ends on Monday morning.

The meeting will include:

• Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka
• Mahesh Kumar Goud

Party members who hold the positions of minister and MLA and MLC will participate in the meeting. The budget session requires them to examine important topics and develop their tactical plan. The rules provide instructions which enable seamless execution of all session activities.

Gutha Sukhender Reddy and Gaddam Prasad Kumar instructed senior officials to ensure smooth conduct of the sessions. The assembly committee hall served as the location for their meeting which took place on Sunday. The meeting included officials and leaders who attended the session with the following participants:
