The RTC workers in Telangana have maintained their strike because their discussions with the government reached an unsuccessful outcome. The public transport system experienced major interruptions because the strike started at midnight on Tuesday.
Most RTC buses remain inside depots and are not operating. Police officers have been assigned to depot locations for the purpose of maintaining security.
The absence of bus services has created problems for passengers. Many people are using private vehicles or other alternatives, often at higher cost.
RTC Managing Director Nagireddy said the government is willing to resolve the issue in stages. The director explained that some unions provide false information to their members.
The strike continues with no clear end date. The current situation includes restricted transport services, which will remain until further discussions determine the final outcome.
