Amaravati Quantum Valley To Emerge As Global Technology Hub
  • The state government in Andhra Pradesh gives its highest priority to artificial intelligence and quantum computing according to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu because he made this statement during a roundtable discussion about AI competitiveness which the World Economic Forum hosted at the AI Impact Summit 2026. 
  • The summit took place at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw and WEF CEO Børge Brende also attended the meeting.

Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing Research

  • The Andhra Pradesh government under Chandrababu Naidu established artificial intelligence infrastructure throughout the entire state. He explained that global technology companies establish operations in India because both central and state governments provide them with needed support.
  • He stated that companies such as Google are establishing a presence in Visakhapatnam. The city now develops into an AI data hub because of this development.
  • He revealed details about plans which will create a complete quantum computing ecosystem. The government will establish research and development and manufacturing support for quantum computing devices. He expressed confidence that Amaravati Quantum Valley will gain global recognition in the future.

Support for National Technology Vision

  • The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to position India as a leader in modern technologies. The Prime Minister believes India will achieve technological leadership across AI and advanced fields according to his statement.
  • Naidu stated that AI has the potential to improve daily life. The government develops artificial intelligence systems which will enable it to operate as an independent entity. The system will guarantee that all citizens receive equal access to its benefits without any form of discrimination.
  • He also mentioned that Andhra Pradesh is focusing on deep technology sectors. The state has established specialized industrial clusters in space technology, drones, electronics, and medical technology. He invited international companies to invest in these sectors and assured full government support.

During the summit, Chandrababu Naidu met with several international business leaders. He held discussions with:

  • Mike Haley, AI Head at Autodesk
  • Abdul Rehman Aitukair, Director at Aramco India
  • Tom Hall, Vice President of Lego Education
  • Srikanth Nadhamuni, Founding CTO of Aadhaar
  • Vinod Khosla, Managing Director at Khosla Ventures

These meetings focused on investment opportunities, technology collaboration, and innovation partnerships in Andhra Pradesh.
