Amaravati Set To Become A Model City Chandrababu

CM Chandrababu Naidu said the farmers had voluntarily given land for the capital of Amaravati. He thanked the farmers who had donated 34,000 acres. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman laid the foundation for 15 bank and public sector enterprise headquarters in Amaravati today. Chandrababu was speaking at a meeting held after laying the foundation stone. He said Amaravati is the only place on the earth where such massive land pooling was done.

Chandrababu informed that Prime Minister Modi had restarted the capital development projects. The construction is intended to be completed by March 2028. He attributed this improvement to Nirmala Sitharaman. An amount of Rs. 15,000 crore was approved for faster construction. The foundation stones of different bank and insurance company buildings were laid with Rs. 1,334 crore.

He added that consolidating offices in one area was important. This move will create employment for 6,576 people. Chandrababu praised Sitharaman for taking quick decisions. He said that GST reforms contributed a lot to economic growth.

Chandrababu also referred to the past challenges. He said that when Amaravati projects were promising, the state government collapsed. Five years of YSRCP regime created problems for the state. He appreciated the central government, which, he felt, helped to stabilize the state’s economy by offering fiscal facilitation. There is further scope for economic development in AP, and investment in multiple sectors is being promoted.

Chandrababu said Amaravati will be developed to make India proud. The city is designed to be a technological hub. He further said that Andhra Pradesh would play a vital role in the development of the country. Amaravati will be connected with seven national highways.

Farmers’ Support Key to Capital Development: Pawan Kalyan

AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said the Centre was supporting the development of the state. The coalition government is working with accountability, he said and added that having all banks in one place would increase business and financial activity.

He said the trust of farmers is the basis for capital construction. “The foundations laid today are not only for buildings but for the future of Andhra Pradesh,” Pawan said. A memorandum of understanding was signed between IIA and CRDA as part of the program to establish a scientific planetarium in Amaravati. The MoU was inked in the presence of Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, CM Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
