IBomma Manager Emandi Ravi Expresses Remorse Over Film Piracy

The police custody of iBomma manager Emandi Ravi, arrested in the film piracy case, ended on Friday after two days.

In the first case, Ravi was taken into custody for five days and in the latest case for an additional three days. The police collect technical evidence regarding the piracy. They are gathering information on agents, employees involved in the country as well as abroad.

Ravi, who had kept silent in the morning, spoke to the police in the afternoon. He told them that he thought he could escape the law with foreign citizenship. He also said that he had strengthened his piracy network, confident that no one would catch him for six years.

Ravi, on his part, confessed to the police that he had not known initially that it was wrong and only pirated for money. He is reported to have sought forgiveness from the police and assured them that he would not pirate again after he was released.
