  • Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presented the Andhra Pradesh Budget for the financial year 2026–27 in the State Legislative Assembly. The total budget size stands at ₹3,32,205 crore.

Budget Overview

The total outlay for 2026–27 is ₹3,32,205 crore. The allocation divides into revenue expenditure and capital expenditure.

  • Revenue Expenditure: ₹2,56,143 crore
  • Capital Expenditure: ₹53,915 crore
  • Revenue Deficit: ₹22,002 crore
  • Fiscal Deficit: ₹75,868 crore

Revenue expenditure includes all costs related to salaries and subsidies and welfare programs and operational expenses.
Capital expenditure funds projects that develop infrastructure and create assets which will benefit the organization over time.

Capital Development Allocation

The government allocated funds to key infrastructure and regional development projects.

  • Amaravati Capital Construction: ₹6,000 crore
  • Power Sector: ₹13,934 crore
  • Roads, Ports, and Airports: ₹13,546 crore
  • Industries: ₹3,161 crore
  • Adjustment Fund: ₹1,500 crore

The allocations aim to establish better transportation links which will enhance electricity distribution and help manufacturing businesses to expand.

Welfare and Social Sector Spending

The budget also prioritizes welfare schemes and essential services.

  • VB Ji Ram Ji: ₹8,365 crore
  • Housing Sector: ₹5,451 crore
  • NTR Vaidya Seva: ₹4,000 crore
  • Jal Jeevan Mission: ₹4,000 crore
  • Swachh Bharat Mission: ₹1,037 crore

The funds provide financial resources for healthcare facilities and housing projects and sanitation systems and drinking water distribution throughout the state.

Regional Economic Development Plans

The government announced major investments in regional economic hubs.

  • Visakhapatnam Economic Region: ₹28,000 crore
  • Covers 10 districts
  • Amaravati Economic Region: Covers 9 districts
  • Rayalaseema Global Horticulture Hub: ₹30,000 crore

These initiatives aim to promote balanced regional growth, boost exports, and attract investment.
