Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said his government’s objective was to have one entrepreneur in every family. He said resolution of revenue problems was his responsibility and the administration aimed at sustainable economic growth. One lakh women would be trained as entrepreneurs this year, he said. The Chief Minister called upon the students to invent new devices and products with innovative thinking.
He inaugurated a new MSME park at Pedaerlapadu in Kanigiri, Prakasam district, and virtually joined the inaugural and foundation-laying programmes of 50 MSME parks across AP. Of them, 15 industrial parks on 329 acres were inaugurated, while the foundation stones were laid for another 35 government and private MSME parks spread over 587 acres. A weaver park was also inaugurated virtually at Nayunapalle in Vetapalem mandal in Bapatla district.
The Chief Minister explained in the House that people are active partners in the state's development process. He said that 29,000 farmers gave 33,000 acres of land for the state capital. The government is developing that land and giving it back to the farmers with improved infrastructure. He reminded that long-term development in Andhra Pradesh was possible only when resources were used judiciously.
He declared plans to build a port every 50 kilometers to promote trade and jobs. He said the government was attracting investments to the state and rebuilding the “AP Brand” through welfare, development, and good governance. The CM reiterated the commitment for bringing investments and providing jobs to 20 lakh youth. Though some people have raised doubts over the target of providing 20 lakh jobs, several companies have already come forward showing interest and started investing in Andhra Pradesh.
Restoring Investor Confidence He said that industrial activity is picking up again, and the flow of investments continues across various sectors. Naidu praised the hardworking youth of Andhra Pradesh and said they were now getting more opportunities. Referring to the previous administration, he said that many industrialists had left the state due to fear and uncertainty, which has now changed.
