Assembly Budget Sessions To Begin From Wednesday
  • The Assembly budget sessions begin on Wednesday. The Governor will present his address to both Houses at 10 a.m. on the first day. The House will finish its business when he finishes his speech.
  • The YSRCP will stay in the session until the Governor delivers his address on the first day. The party members have not yet finalized their plans to attend upcoming meetings.

Agenda and Political Discussions

  • The ruling TDP party plans to introduce multiple discussion topics during the upcoming meeting. The previous YSRCP government used impure ghee to prepare Tirumala laddu which became the subject of investigation together with the Parakamani stolen goods case.
  • The TDP will discuss more than 20 priority matters at the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting. The discussion will include Amaravati construction progress, Super-6 schemes implementation, new business agreements, government welfare initiatives, educational system improvements, and instances of widespread home burglaries.

Speaker Meets Governor

On Tuesday Legislative Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu met Governor Abdul Nazeer at Lok Bhavan. The meeting will establish a formal visit which will take place before budget sessions begin. The Speaker invited the Governor to address both Houses and explained the arrangements made for the sessions. Assembly Secretary General Suryadevara Prasannakumar accompanied him Suryadevara Prasannakumar.

Schedule of the Session

  • The House will close its session for the day after the Governor finishes his address. The BAC meeting will take place after the Speaker completes his presentation. The committee will decide the timetable for sessions and discussions as well as the complete duration of the session.
  • The preliminary information indicates that the debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor's address will take place on December 12 and 13. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will deliver his response after the debate concludes.
  • The government will present the budget on the 14th. The Shivaratri festival may cause holiday observance on the 15th and 16th. The House will conduct general budget discussions which will last for two to three days starting on the 17th. After that, members will discuss departmental grants and demands.
  • During the session, the government plans to present new legislation which will replace four current ordinances.

Additional Activities

The MLAs and MLCs will compete in sports matches which will last for three days just like they did the previous year. The events are scheduled from March 5 to 7. Government sources indicate that the budget session may continue until March 12.
