He instructed the officials and contractors not to delay the construction works in Amaravati. He promised Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the project would be completed within the stipulated time. The Chief Minister ordered a review of all capital works every 15 days to ensure the works progressed at a steady pace.
During a review meeting at the Undavalli camp office, he discussed construction status, land registration for farmers, and beautification works. Each project was presented in minute detail by officials - from its completion percentage, the gap in progress, and deployment of workers and machinery. The Chief Minister highlighted those areas facing delays and directed the concerned departments to make up for lost time by increasing the workforce and usage of equipment.
He said all the work is to be completed in stipulated time and as per quality standards and instructed the departments and organisations, which have not deployed sufficient manpower or equipment, to gear up and improve the work. The Chief Minister also ordered coordination with the Mines Department for a regular supply of gravel. Contractors are advised to process and pay bills on a monthly basis without delay.
The Chief Minister has reviewed the registration process in respect of plots allotted to farmers who parted with their lands for the capital's development. The Minister for Municipal Administration Narayana said 2,471 farmers were awaiting registration due to small technical and personal issues. The Chief Minister directed the officials to address the problems forthwith and complete the pending registrations.
He further said that he would soon meet the farmers in person. Along with construction, greenery, beautification, and cleanliness must be given equal importance, he said. The Chief Minister told the officials to ensure that the organizations allotted plots in Amaravati construct iconic buildings which reflect the image of a world-class city. Inclusion of skyscrapers would add to the modern urban appeal of Amaravati, he added.
The review meeting was attended by senior officials from CRDA, ADC, and Finance Departments, along with representatives from the contracting agencies.
