Cyclone Update In The Bay Of Bengal

A severe low-pressure area is present in the South Andaman Sea, according to the Disaster Management Authority. The system may move west-northwest and develop into a cyclonic circulation over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal by Monday. The authority expects this system to strengthen into a cyclonic circulation within 48 hours.

They also added that under the influence of a surface circulation, another low-pressure area is likely to form in the southwest Bay of Bengal and near Sri Lanka by Tuesday. On Monday, light to moderate rainfall is likely over Prakasam, Sripotti Sriramulu Nellore, YSR Kadapa, Annamayya, Chittoor and Tirupati districts. Farmers are advised to take necessary precautions to safeguard their crops.
