Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Visakhapatnam on Thursday. He will depart from Delhi on a special flight. He will reach INS Dega at 11 a.m.
He will depart from INS Dega to reach the naval base. He will open the international naval event "Milan-2026" which he will present. He will meet with high-ranking Navy officers after the opening ceremony. He will conduct a review of important operational and strategic issues.
He will participate in an event at the Samudrika Auditorium. He will deliver a speech to Indian naval officers and foreign naval officers from participating countries during the event.
Visakhapatnam Prepares for IFR and Milan
Visakhapatnam has achieved complete readiness to host both the International Fleet Review (IFR) and Milan. India is organizing both events together for the first time. This initiative marks a new approach for navy cooperation and international relationship development.
A total of 74 countries are participating in Milan. Naval exercises and an international city parade are scheduled for Thursday. Authorities conducted final rehearsals at RK Beach on Wednesday to ensure smooth coordination and security arrangements.
