Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari stated that the nation needs to boost exports and lower imports. He described that when a nation develops in science and research, it gets a strong position in the world. He emphasized that education should mingle with creativity.
Gadkari asserted that science is at the core of transforming India as a global leader. He observed that nations develop due to science and research. He said that defense, agriculture, and information and communication technology are sectors where extensive research is being conducted. He further stated that wars used to be based on tanks, but now nations rely on drones and missiles, indicating a transformation towards science-oriented approaches.
Gadkari remembered that Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister, had a target of a five trillion-dollar GDP and India becoming the third-largest economy. Gadkari stated that the achievement of this goal needs very strong emphasis on science, research, and practical education. Gadkari referred to youth as the country's future.
Gadkari indicated that India must study products that it imports and make efforts to manufacture them domestically. He urged exports to be raised rather than relying on foreign acquisitions. He also mentioned that worldwide interest is increasing in Indian culture, heritage, and yoga.
