Industrialist Anand Mahindra congratulated Team India for their ninth Asia Cup title win. He praised the team's confidence as their biggest strength against Pakistan. Mahindra stated that even when Pakistani openers were aggressive, Indian bowlers remained calm and sent them back without panic. He further mentioned that Indian batsmen, despite initial losses, demonstrated determination and composure while chasing the target.
MP Shashi Tharoor of Congress also congratulated the team but emphasized that efforts from behind the scenes mostly go unheard. He also mentioned that coach Gautam Gambhir and the selectors should be given equal credit for the triumph. Tharoor said that whenever the team fails, the coaches and selectors are blamed, but when they win, they are not recognized. On social media, he asked people to thank their planning and assistance in creating the winning team.
