The YSR Congress Party Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy doubts police authority to arrest former minister Ambati Rambabu who criticized government handling of recent political events. He showed his police operation concerns through his explanation about how police activities would impact residents while he proved that police treated YSRCP members differently than other citizens.
Jagan raised doubts about the reasons behind Rambabu's punishment when he observed others receiving less severe treatment. He questioned the bail decision for TDP MLA Galla Madhavi and her husband who faced charges for attacking Rambabu's office. He mentioned past YSRCP leader incidents which included both physical assaults and verbal harassment and property destruction yet he criticized officials for not taking proper disciplinary measures.
Jagan claimed that TDP leaders operated liquor businesses while they sold alcoholic beverages at higher than normal rates. He stated that illegal liquor production occurred which he connected to recent fatalities. He also accused police forces of being abused while he reported that numerous officers had chosen to retire early from their positions. He claimed that the ruling party was controlling the process of assigning government positions.
Jagan warned that people who hold power will face punishment if they continue their current behavior. He stated that YSRCP leaders had suffered from unfair attack which he requested people to observe. He announced that the party would organize statewide bandhs in response to any future similar incidents. He mentioned that the party plans to bring their case before the National Human Rights Commission and the Supreme Court.
Jagan claimed that public opinion had turned against the government over the Tirumala ghee issue. He accused the committee formation process of being a secret strategy which aimed to create a positive report instead of solving the issue through honest methods.
