The reaction came from the former minister and BRS working President K. T. Rama Rao, popularly known as KTR, after Governor Jishnu Dev Varma gave permission to prosecute him in the Formula-E car case. KTR said the legal process will continue and added that the case has no basis.
KTR told reporters that he has committed no wrong. He said the government does not have the courage to arrest him. He also said he is ready to undergo a lie detector test over his statements.
He alleged that a joint Congress–BJP government is effectively operating in the state. According to him, there is no similar political arrangement elsewhere in the country. He claimed that the government is trying to avoid embarrassment by encouraging MLAs who defect to resign before facing disqualification.
KTR further said that the leaders were informed that they would be made to resign along with Danam Nagender. He also said that the government is considering options to save Kadiyam Srihari on technical grounds.
