Minister Konda Surekha took to X to say that she did not mean any harm or disrespect to the family with her comments. "I did not make those comments with the intention of hurting Nagarjuna and his family. It was not my intention to embarrass or damage their reputation. If my comments caused any offense, I regret it and withdraw them."
Following the public apology of the minister, Nagarjuna announced his withdrawal of the defamation case he filed against her. His move finally put an end to the row between them with a closure.
