Nitish Kumar Releases Video Message Ahead Of Bihar Elections

Chief Minister’s Address Before the First Phase of Elections

The Bihar Assembly Elections are around the corner, and within five days, the first phase of polling will begin. In this context, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar released a video message to the public today. He spoke of the work done by his government over the last two decades and said his efforts were always for the people, not for personal or family interests.

Focus on Governance and Development

Nitish Kumar said that earlier, the condition of law and order in Bihar was very bad. His government, after coming to power, focused on bringing normalcy into the state by restoring safety and order first. Nitish Kumar also drew attention to improvements in main areas such as education, health, roads, electricity, water supply, agriculture, and employment opportunities for the state's youth.

Criticism towards previous Governments

The Chief Minister attacked the Congress-RJD alliance, saying it did little to improve the status of women during its tenure. He said that under his leadership, women in Bihar have become empowered and encouraged to become self-reliant. Kumar asserted that his government’s focus has been on the development of every community in the state.

Central Government to Extend Support

Nitish Kumar exuded confidence that the central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would continue to support Bihar's growth and development initiatives. He claimed that only NDA has the vision and capability for ensuring consistent progress for the state.

Appeal to Voters

Concluding his message, the Chief Minister urged voters to give his government another opportunity to continue its work. He emphasized that for Bihar’s development, NDA needs to be in power at the Center and in the state.

Election Details

Bihar has a total number of 243 assembly constituencies. The two-phase polling will be held on the 6th and 11th of this month, while the election results are scheduled to be announced on the 14th.
