Phone Chargers Linked To Pahalgam Terror Attack

The investigators identified that the militants who had carried out the Pahalgam attack had bought equipment required from websites online. One recent Over Ground Worker (OGW) was picked up by authorities who were assisting militants. His interrogation yielded precious information.

Encounter Site Evidence

Police officers informed that three mobile chargers were seized in Operation Mahadev. Technical analysis confirmed that one charger was purchased online. The buyer was identified as Musaib Ahmed Chopan, owner of Iqbal Computers. He later accepted having sold the charger to Mohammad Yusuf Katari.

Supply Chain Exposed

When questioned, Yusuf Katari confessed to supplying the terrorists with tools who were hiding in Dachigaon woods. He was arrested by the authorities for assisting the outfit with staples. Katari is 26 years old and resides in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Attack and Aftermath

Terrorists targeted tourists on April 22 at Pahalgam. The terrorists killed 26 civilians. The security forces launched Operation Mahadev and killed the three attackers on July 29. The group leader was discovered to be Suleman alias Asif. The other two were Jibran and Hamza Afghani.
