The Telangana municipal elections started their voting operations which are now currently active. The voting process occurs in 412 electoral districts which include seven municipal corporations and 116 municipal bodies. The established polling hours permit voters to cast their ballots between 7 am and 5 pm.
Voters are arriving at polling stations to cast their votes. Election officials are managing the process at each location. Authorities have established required voting facilities to maintain uninterrupted voting operations.
Police have deployed security personnel to prevent any untoward incidents. The Election Commission has arranged webcasting inside and outside all polling stations. The officials oversee the process to maintain both transparency and order in operations.
The vote counting process will occur on 13th day of the month. The election of mayors, deputy mayors, chairpersons, and vice chairpersons will take place through indirect elections on the 16th.
