Prashant Kishor Predicts Jan Suraaj Partys Performance In Bihar Elections

Confident About Over 150 Seats, Open to Fewer Than 10

The founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, Prashant Kishor, exuded confidence that his party would win more than 150 seats in the coming Bihar Assembly elections, while adding that if the voters reject the party, it might get less than 10 seats. He said this during a recent interaction with mediapersons in Delhi, where he also confirmed that Jan Suraaj will not forge an alliance with any political party either before or after the polls.

Two Possible Outcomes According to Kishor

On being asked about the anticipation, Kishor mentioned that there could be one of the two possibilities. He added that people consider Jan Suraaj as an option, but large numbers of voters disappointed by politics over decades must have confidence to move towards the new alternative option.

Kishor added that he has not confirmed his own participation in the elections, but if he contests, it will be from Kargahar. He clarified that he does not consider himself an X factor, and the real focus should be on the party's performance, not just his candidacy. He reminded that election results will be announced on November 14.

Voter Sentiment in Bihar

Kishor said that one-third of Bihar's electorate do not want to align with either the Mahagathbandhan or the NDA. He believed Jan Suraaj will provide a stiff challenge in 160–170 constituencies across the state.

No Alliances, Even if Kingmaker

But Kishor was very direct on the issue of political alliances: even if Jan Suraaj becomes a kingmaker after the election, they won't join any political alliance. They will continue their mission independently if the public does not favor them.

He further told them, if a situation arises where government cannot be formed without Jan Suraaj, then due to money or legal pressure, some leaders may change parties, but that also is beyond his control. Polling Schedule Voting for the Bihar Assembly will be done in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with counting scheduled to take place on November 14.
