Rahul Gandhi's Attacks on BJP, Election Commission
The Opposition Leader of the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has once more accused the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of vote rigging. He said that there was large-scale manipulation of votes in polls by the BJP, which helped Modi become the Prime Minister.
Speaking to media persons on Friday, Rahul Gandhi claimed that his party has gathered solid information pertaining to vote rigging. He said he recently submitted evidence of fake votes and photographs related to the Haryana elections. However, he complained that the EC has not responded to these complaints. He further said the BJP is attempting to shield the EC from public scrutiny.
Rahul further said the Congress Party is informing youth voters and Gen-Z how the BJP allegedly manipulates votes during the election, right across the country. He also claimed that similar irregularities were seen in the Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh elections.
The BJP rejected these allegations and accused Rahul Gandhi of making false statements in order to hide his party's poor performance in the elections.
Claims of Duplicate Voting in Delhi and Bihar
Rahul Gandhi further alleged that some BJP leaders who voted in Delhi also voted in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections. He said this while addressing a rally in Banka district, Bihar, on Friday.
Rahul said that out of 2 crore registered voters in Haryana, around 29 lakh are fake. Similar voting discrepancies have been observed in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, he said. He further claimed that attempts to manipulate votes are being made in Bihar too.
