Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the high voter turnout in the first phase of Bihar elections reflects the people's confidence in the leadership of Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar. He said people have supported the development and governance record of the NDA. Exuding confidence that the NDA will form the next government in Bihar under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Modi said the opposition alliance-Mahagathbandhan-will face a major defeat in these elections.
At a rally held in Aurangabad, and another in Bhabhua, Modi thanked the Election Commission for smoothly and successfully conducting elections in 121 constituencies.
Modi Slams Opposition over Economic Understanding Modi castigated the RJD leaders for not even knowing how many zeroes there are in Rs. 1 lakh crore. He promised that his government fulfilled most of the promises it had made in the beginning. He said the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, for which people waited for 500 years, is complete now and cited another big achievement of his government: the abrogation of Article 370. He mentioned that through the One Rank One Pension scheme, Rs. 1 lakh crore has been given to the families of soldiers in the last 11 years. He accused RJD and Congress leaders of spreading false claims that only Rs. 500 crore has been given.
