Reliance To Inaugurate Worlds Second Largest Beverages Unit In Kurnool By February

Foundation Stone Laid in September

Reliance is setting up the world’s second largest beverages manufacturing unit in Kurnool district. Laying of the foundation stone was done in September. Work is progressing at a brisk pace and the unit is likely to be inaugurated by next February. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said the project reflects the commitment of the government towards improvement in the speed of doing business in the State.

Reliance Project Update

During an online interaction with industrialists from 87 areas of Andhra Pradesh, the Chief Minister reviewed various industrial developments. On this occasion, Reliance Consumer Products Limited Vice President Arpan Basu informed him that the construction of the country's largest beverages plant is progressing with full government support.

He added that 40% of the work was complete. The project will provide employment to about 5,000 people. The Chief Minister assured that electricity, water and road infrastructure will be provided to complete the project on schedule.

Women in Entrepreneurship

Maithili, an entrepreneur from Chittoor, shared her success story. She had set up a unit for the recycling of waste oil under the program 'One Woman–One Entrepreneur'. The unit has already generated direct employment to 20 people, besides indirect ones.

The Chief Minister praised her efforts and asked other women to take inspiration from her. Support for Young Entrepreneurs The reason is clear from the experience of T. Anudeep, a B.Tech graduate-turned-entrepreneur. He wanted to do some business but had no clear route initially to get into entrepreneurship. Thanks to APIIC, he was able to receive proper guidance and help to establish a water bottle manufacturing unit this month. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said the government is encouraging all types of industrial units. The Chief Minister stressed the plug and play infrastructure model to facilitate entrepreneurs to begin operations in record quick time. He wished Anudeep all the best in his new venture.
