Prime Minister’s Response
- The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, showed deep grief over the serious road accident that happened in Chevella, Telangana. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. The Prime Minister further wished for the quick recovery of all those who were injured in the accident.
- He announced financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh each for the families of the deceased and Rs. 50,000 each for those who were injured.
Information of the Incident
A tragic road accident occurred near Mirjaguda in Chevella mandal of Rangareddy district, in which 19 people lost their lives, and several others sustained serious injuries. The local administration and rescue teams reached the spot immediately and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.
