Sachin Tendulkar revealed that Sathya Sai Baba guided people not to judge but try to understand others. It was these words of his guru that helped Sachin explain that most problems in society could be resolved this way. He was speaking at the centenary celebrations of Sathya Sai Baba at Puttaparthi.
Sachin said Sathya Sai Baba moulded his life for the service and betterment of people. He added that Baba gave importance to both physical and mental health. Sachin said true success comes from serving weaker sections, which could be seen in every act of Baba if anybody met him.
Sachin also spoke about an incident that happened during the 2011 Cricket World Cup. He said that emotions ran high during that tournament, especially when the team was in Bangalore. At that period, Sathya Sai Baba called him and sent a book later. The positive mindset, said Sachin, came out of the book. India went on to win the World Cup that year. The moment, he added, has turned out to be special and one that he will cherish along.
