Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was shocked upon hearing about the death of Hyderabad residents due to a road accident in Saudi Arabia. He instructed CS Ramakrishna Rao and DGP Shivdhar Reddy to get full details about the incident. He asked to confirm how many passengers from Telangana were involved. He also directed them to speak with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Saudi Embassy. He asked the officials to monitor all the relief measures.
Following the accident, as part of relief measures, the Telangana government set up a control room.

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi was shocked over the deaths of Hyderabad passengers in the accident. He said he spoke with the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and requested a detailed account. He also contacted two Hyderabad-based travel agencies.
According to Owaisi, the bus was carrying 44 pilgrims from Mecca to Medina when the accident took place. He asked External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to arrange the transport of the bodies to India. He also requested better medical care for the injured pilgrims.
Details of the Accident A major road accident occurred in Saudi Arabia, where a diesel tanker hit a bus carrying pilgrims and caught fire. The incident killed forty-two people. According to the reports by English media, all the victims were Indian pilgrims, and most of them belonged to Hyderabad. They were on their way from Mecca to Medina when this incident happened.
